Mike de la Flor produced a series of full-color, surgical illustrations for Dr. Robert Grossman and Dr. Leonardo Rangel-Castilla of the Houston Methodist Hospital Neurological Institute depicting a left hippocampectomy to remove epileptogenic tissue. The illustrations were based cadaveric and operating room references. Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop were used to create the illustrations.
