Dr. de la Flor specializes in anatomical and surgical illustration, having illustrated numerous atlases such as Trauma (Feliciano, Mattox, Moore 2020), Shoulder Arthroplasty (Edwards, Morris 2018) Atlas of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy: Anatomy and Technique (Chaikof 2014) and Atlas of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy: Anatomy and Technique (Buchwald 2011). Dr. de la Flor also has extensive experience in 3D modeling, including 3D molecular visualization.
Dr. de la Flor is a Board Certified Medical Illustrator and is a research scientist at the University of Texas Health Science Center Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. de la Flor served as faculty in the Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Houston where he taught Genetics and General Biology.
